Portraits: Exploring the Human Face: The human face is like a fascinating landscape full of shapes and expressions. In this fun art workshop with Barbara Herzfeld, kids and adults will learn the basics of drawing faces by looking closely at features and emotions. REGISTER

February 28, 2-4pm with Barbara Lubliner aka Ms. Muscle, Performance Artist
Sash Making: Wear Your Voice!: Drawing inspiration from the women’s suffrage movement, participants will craft their own sashes. Ms. Muscle will present her sash and examples worn by the Suffragettes. Participants will then design and decorate their sashes using words, colors, and symbols to express what they care about. REGISTER

March 28,  2-4pm with Liz Curtin, Mixed Media Artist
The Magic of Joomchi: Joomchi is a centuries old felting technique developed in Korea to make clothing, bags and other utilitarian objects. Recently revived by Korean artist Jiyoung Chung it is becoming a popular art form. Come join Liz Curtin for a fun Joomchi making session! REGISTER

May 2, 2-4pm with Karin Bruckner, Printmaker,
Suminagashi Workshop: Have you ever watched a pond with green algae floating on the surface, creating swirly shapes depending on which way the wind blows or the current drifts? Ancient Japanese have taken the inspiration and developed a kind of printing technique called “Suminagashi” or “floating ink”. REGISTER
